ALL ARE
Welcome
Hello
My name is Amanda McLean (she/her)
I am an individual therapist licensed in Washington, Oregon and Idaho with 15+ years of experience in therapeutic interventions with clients presenting with a variety of different concerns. I also carry the credentials of Child Mental Health Therapist and Perinatal Mental Health Specialist.

Is this you?
Maybe you’ve spent years feeling out of step with the people around you. You might have wondered if you were weird, wrong, or somehow missing something everyone else seems to understand. Perhaps you’ve struggled to align with your family’s expectations, your assigned gender, or traditional ideas about relationships and identity.

You’ve likely tried hard to make things work - fitting in, getting things done, and meeting other people’s standards. Even so, it can feel like you’re always just a little off target. That experience can leave you feeling stuck, confused, or alone. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of those experiences, and begin building a life that fits who you really are.

I enjoy supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and neurodivergence, including both teens and adults. I also work with people navigating relationship challenges, including non-traditional relationship structures, as well as concerns related to stress, motivation, and self-esteem. I offer additional support to caregivers of neurodivergent children and adolescents, drawing on both professional training and lived experience.
I believe you are the expert on your own story. My role is to listen, collaborate, and help you uncover the strengths and insights you already carry. Everyone deserves to be met with curiosity, compassion, and respect. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
MY CLIENTS
I work with people navigating anxiety, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and neurodivergence, including autistic adults (formally diagnosed or self-identified) and people with ADHD. Many of my clients are also exploring relationship challenges, including non-traditional relationship structures, or working through stress, motivation struggles, and self-esteem concerns. My work in this area is informed by both professional training and lived experience within neurodivergent families.

I also offer support to parents of neurodivergent children. Alongside my training in Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Child Mental Health, and Perinatal Mental Health, I bring the perspective of raising an autistic child, which helps me approach this work with both clinical knowledge and personal understanding.

My Approach
I believe you are the expert on your own life and bring strengths and insight to the challenges you’re facing, even if that may not feel clear right now. You deserve to be heard with compassion, respect, and curiosity.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and practical. Together we explore the challenges in your life, clarify what matters most to you, and break your larger goals into manageable, meaningful steps. I also enjoy connecting over your interests, humor, and passions, and using those as strengths in the work we do together. I honor the ways you’ve navigated the world and support uncovering and expressing your authentic self at your own pace.
